Book-in-a-Day is a 501 (c) 3 nonprofit organization, which means that all donations are tax-deductible to the fullest extent of the law. Our Annual Benefit Performance is held in April, during National Poetry Month. Click here for more information on the Benefit.
DONOR LEVELS
Write On: Gifts of $50
Provides a writing notebook to each of the 30 students who participate in the Book-in-a-Day program (Staff will determine which school is the benefactor and alert donor).
Got Poetry: Gifts of $100
Provides one of Kwame Alexander's poetry books to each of the 30 students who participate in the Book-in-a-Day program (Staff will determine which school is the benefactor and alert donor).
Text Message: Gifts of $250
Provides one copy of the published book to each of the 30 students who participate in the Book-in-a-Day program (Staff will determine which school is the benefactor and alert donor). Text Message donors receive recognition in the published book.
Autograph: Gifts of $500
Donor adopts a middle or high school to receive the Book-in-a-Day workshop (Staff will determine which school is the benefactor and alert donor). Autograph donors receive a signed copy of the published book (by all participating student authors), recognition in the published book and at book launch party, and VIP Invitations to all Book-in-a-Day special events.
Bestseller: Gifts of $1000
Donor selects a middle or high school of your choice to receive the Book-in-a-Day workshop. Bestseller donors receive a signed copy of the published book (by all participating student authors), recognition in the published book and at book launch party, and VIP Invitations to all Book-in-a-Day special events.
All donors receive email updates on the BID program, acknowledgment on BID website, priority invitations to all BID special events, and a complimentary copy of the published book from the school to which they gifted. Any gift provides books, resources, and much needed funding for the benefit of future students who participate in the Book-in-a-Day program.
CASH DONATIONS
Cash donations are also accepted. You may make check or money order payable to Bookinaday, Inc., PO Box 21, Alexandria, VA 22313. Please provide a return address so we can provide a donation receipt and thank you for your donation.
